Fike said at this point in the enrollment process the institutional headcount at WVNCC is 2,623 students compared to 2,260 students for the Spring term last year, a 16 percent hike of 363 students. Registrations include high numbers of returning students plus students new to the campuses.
“We are extremely pleased that area students are attending Northern in such great numbers,” Fike said. “This enrollment increase most likely will continue to grow during the next few weeks as late-start class registration kicks in, along with registration of early entrance students at area high schools.”
Dr. Martin J. Olshinsky, Northern’s president, thanked faculty and staff for the quality of services being provided students and issued a welcome to the students. “Our affordable tuition and high level of academic and continuing education offerings are being recognized by those seeking to begin or further their educational careers.”
