WHEELING, W.VA – In celebration of Women’s History Month, West Virginia Northern Community College (WVNCC) will host a living history performance by Patty Cooper, who will play the role of Susan B Anthony. The presentation will take place at noon on April 17 at the Weirton Campus, April 18 at the Wheeling Campus and April 19 at the New Martinsville Campus. Each event, which is open to the public, is free and includes lunch.

Cooper’s portrayal of Susan B. Anthony will include Anthony as a crusader in the women suffrage movement in the United States. Cooper has an Associate degree in Applied Science and has worked as a historical interpreter on Blennerhassett Island State Park. She has lectured, taught, and given workshops and demonstrations at fairs and festivals on antique needlework, tools, and rug hooking.
