New Martinsville Campus Friends of the College
The Friends of the College is a community based organization comprised of interested individuals representing the business, industry, education, government, and social service agencies. The Friends of the College works to support projects that will assist and improve the New Martinsville Campus.
Members of the Friends work with the Campus Dean to foster better relationships with the community and to promote the interests of the College in the regional service area of Tyler and Wetzel Counties, West Virginia and Monroe County, Ohio. The Friends provide financial support to assist students with special financial needs, campus equipment and furniture updates, and improvements to the overall appearance of the campus. Special events are sponsored by the Friends such as open houses, business after hours, faculty presentations, receptions, and an annual fundraising get-together.
Each year, the Friends elect officers and a board of directors who meet on a monthly basis. These meetings are open to any member of the group. Currently, there are over two hundred members of the New Martinsville Friend’s organization.
