You will need to complete a WVNCC Financial Aid Application (not available yet) for the school year you wish to receive aid for. Classes for the 2017-2018 school year begin in August, 2017. All financial aid forms will be made available online as soon as possible.
Once we receive your processed FAFSA and it is official you will receive an award letter from WVNCC notifying you of your aid for each semester. You may also receive a letter requesting additional information or forms such as the Verification Worksheet, Food Stamps/SNAP Benefits Statement, Workers Compensation, etc. The Verification Worksheet is available online and through your NOW account.
Once you have completed the admission process and met with your campus' counselor to register, you need to be sure your financial aid file is complete. To be held in your classes, all documents must be received by the last date to pay for the semester. In order to receive any funds remaining after your charges are paid (Refund Check), your financial aid file must be complete. You can check the status of your file through your NOW account (Northern on the Web). Funds will be applied to your tuition account at a designated time for each semester. Refund day will be posted at the Campus Service Centers. Book vouchers are generally available the day following the last day to pay for the term approximately ten days prior to the start of the regular term (see catalog or schedule)
