Federal Direct Loan
A federal loan program that is awarded to students who show financial need and are registered at least half-time. WVNCC participates in the Federal Direct Loan Program which means that students do not need to apply for a Stafford loan through a bank, credit union, or other lender. We process loan applications directly with the federal government and these third-party servicers are not needed. Repayment begins six months after leaving school or dropping below half-time status. A fixed Interest rate is established July 1st of each year for the upcoming aid year.
Direct PLUS Loans
A federal loan program for parents of dependent students who are registered at least half-time. Repayment begins within 60 days after the final loan disbursement each year. A credit check is required.
Scholarships (see catalog for more information)
