Northern Transfer Degree Options Are Your Best Value in Higher Education
West Virginia Northern Community College students who complete an associate’s degree have many opportunities to continue their education. Students seeking to earn a bachelor’s degree know Northern is a great beginning. Students can complete the first two years at WVNCC, graduate with an associate’s degree, then easily transfer to a four-year institution for an affordable bachelor’s degree.
Here at Northern, we help provide you with a smooth transition as you work to reach your educational goals. By establishing contact and building a relationship with your transfer school and counselor, you can seamlessly transfer to the college or university of your choice.
The purpose of the following articulation agreements is to assist Northern students who are interested in transferring to local colleges and universities after completing academic programs at Northern. WVNCC currently has formalized agreements with Bethany College, Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, Franciscan University of Steubenville, Marshall University, Strayer University, West Liberty University, West Virginia University, West Virginia Wesleyan College, and Wheeling Jesuit University. Northern is continuously adding transfer agreements for graduates, so students are advised to meet with their advisor or the transfer counselor to learn more.
These agreements facilitate the transfer of academically qualified students; and, therefore, help Northern graduates gain junior admittance status at four-year institutions. Students are encouraged to work with the transfer counselor at both WVNCC and at the anticipated bachelor degree-granting institution so together they can determine which classes are necessary to fulfill graduation requirements.
