QPR Suicide Prevention Training

QPR (Question, Persuade, and Refer) is a one-hour suicide prevention workshop that trains participants to recognize the warning signs of suicide and question, persuade, and refer people at risk for suicide for help. 

Topics covered include:

  • How to Question, Persuade and Refer someone who may be suicidal
  • How to get help for yourself or learn more about preventing suicide
  • The common causes of suicidal behavior
  • The warning signs of suicide
  • How to get help for someone in crisis

These are in-person trainings. Limited openings are available and are on a first come, first served basis. Registration deadline is Friday, November 4.

Students will receive a confirmation email pertaining to your participation status upon registering. (Should you not be able to attend, please email arc@wvncc.edu to notify of your change in registration status so the opportunity can be presented to individuals on the waiting list.)
