National Substance Abuse Prevention Month

The month of October highlights the vital role of substance abuse prevention in both individual and community health, remembers those who have lost their lives to substance abuse, and acknowledges those in recovery, as well as children, parents, family, and friends supporting them.

Amy Halicky from Youth Services System (YSS) will join us to discuss the impact of the drug epidemic in our region and share an overview of services and resources available.

WVNCC SGA President Chris Greg will share his personal journey of success and recovery with the audience in hopes of inspiring those that may be seeking help with a substance use disorder.
