Associate in Applied Science
The Energy Technology program is designed to prepare students for employment in the natural gas drilling, gathering and field operations industry including Marcellus and Utica Shales and to give students a basic understanding of renewable energy technologies. The program provides a strong foundation in oil and gas exploration, production, including development in the Appalachian Basin. Students also learn about alternative energy technologies and their applications including geothermal, solar and wind. Laboratory classes include a strong emphasis on hands-on experiences. Safe work practices are emphasized and several industry certifications are embedded within the curriculum.
