2018-2019 Federal Direct Loan Information

Loans Originated and Disbursed after July 1, 2018 for the 2018-2019 aid year:

For Direct Subsidized and Unsubsidized Loans the current interest rate is 5.05% (fixed).  The current loan origination fee (subject to change) is 1.066 percent. For example, the fee on a loan for $1,750 would be $1,750 X 1.066 = $18 so the disbursement would be $1732 ($1,750 - $18)

*Graduates and students who are enrolled in less than half-time (6 credit hours) must also complete Exit Counseling online at www.studentloans.gov.  The Federal Direct Loan Exit Brochure is available by clicking here for additional information about loan repayment.
