Enrollment Classification |
Full-Time/Part-Time Classification
Students who register for 12 or more credits per semester are classified as full-time students. Students registered for 6 or more hours in a summer term are classified as full-time students. Students registered for 11 or less credit hours during a semester or 3 or less credit hours during a summer term are defined as part-time students. Students receiving financial aid must check with the Financial Aid Office regarding the number of hours which count toward full- and part-time status in the summer. Students desiring to take more than 18 credit hours a semester (or 12 credit hours in a summer term) must obtain permission from the Campus Dean prior to registration. Evidence supporting the student's ability to manage an exceptionally heavy course load must be presented. At a minimum, this includes support from the academic advisor and completion of previous college level coursework on a full-time basis with a cumulative GPA higher than 3.25. Registration and General Information |
The Let's Get Started Guide contains information to assist student's with general questions about processes and procedures regarding:
|
Residency Classification for Admission and Fee Purposes |
Students shall be classified as a resident or nonresident for admission, tuition and fee purposes by the Registrar’s Office. In determining residency classification, the issue is essentially one of domicile. In general, the domicile of a personal is that person’s true, fixed, permanent home and place of habitation. The decision shall be based upon information furnished by the student and all other relevant information. The Registrar’s Office is authorized to require such written documents, affidavits, verifications, or other evidence as are deemed necessary to establish this domicile of a student. The burden of establishing residency for admission, tuition and fee purposes is upon the student. If there is a question as to residency, the matter must be brought to the attention of the Certification Analyst in the Registrar’s Office at least two weeks prior to the deadline for the payment of tuition and fees. Students must complete the attached form in its entirety. The documentation requested but be submitted with the completed application. Applications without documentation will be denied. |
