West Virginia Northern Community College plans 50th Anniversary Gala

Tickets are now on sale for West Virginia Northern Community College (WVNCC) and the WVNCC Foundation’s 50th Anniversary Gala, presented by Southwestern Energy. The event will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at the Scottish Rite Cathedral in downtown Wheeling. Proceeds raised will support scholarships for first generation students, emergency assistance grants and technology.

The Presidential Reception and cocktail hour will take place at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. The evening will include silent and live auctions and live music by Eli Lambie and the Mojo Kings. Auction items include a week-long stay at the Cliffs at Peace Canyon Resort in Las Vegas during Nascar Week in March 2023, Wheeling Symphony season passes, golf at Oglebay and Wheeling Country Club, an overnight stay at Mountaineer Casino and Resort, photography lessons, a home security system from Lauttamus Communications and more.

“We want to thank Southwestern Energy for their generous support of Northern as we celebrate 50 years of serving the post-secondary education and training needs of the Upper Ohio Valley community,” commented WVNCC President, Dr. Daniel Mosser. “Come and celebrate Northern’s legacy and raise critical dollars to support our students and ensure they enjoy the same opportunities that those who came before them had.”

Tickets are $150 each for the exclusive Presidential Reception and Gala. Individual tickets for the Gala only are $100, or $180 per couple.
