WVNCC unveils new Project BEST Executive Conference Center on Wheeling Campus
Posted 04/23/25
West Virginia Northern Community College (WVNCC) is proud to announce that its new Project BEST Executive Conference Center is now open following a ribbon cutting held earlier today. Located on the third floor of the historic B&O Building on the Wheeling campus, this premier venue is designed for hosting employee trainings, meetings, and community events.
With a sleek, modern design and flexible layout, the conference center offers a professional environment equipped with advanced audiovisual technology, high-speed connectivity, and amenities that support both intimate gatherings and larger training sessions.
"This new conference center is more than just a room — it's a resource for the community,” said Dr. Daniel Mosser, President of WVNCC. “By providing a modern, comfortable, and high-tech space, we’re supporting collaboration, workforce development, and the opportunity for our partners to connect and grow right here in downtown Wheeling."
The space will serve a variety of purposes, including customized corporate trainings, professional development workshops, industry roundtables, meetings, and community forums. WVNCC’s Workforce Development team will utilize the space to deliver targeted training programs for local employers in sectors such as healthcare, energy, manufacturing, business and more. The conference center is designed to adapt to the evolving needs of the region's workforce and to support strong partnerships with area industries.
“The Project BEST Executive Conference Center will be a tremendous asset for our Workforce Development department,” added Dr. Mosser. “It provides an ideal space for conducting trainings and hosting meetings with local businesses that rely on us for customized training solutions. It's another example of how WVNCC is investing in the future of our students, our local businesses and industries, and the City of Wheeling.”
In addition to Project BEST, the space was made possible through the generous support of Joseph and Debra Eddy, the EQT Foundation, the WVNCC Foundation, and Drs. Henry and Mary Marockie. Their collective contributions have transformed this historic space into a vibrant, community-centered hub that will benefit both the college and the region for years to come.
