Wheeling Campus Parking Update for the Start of Classes

With the ongoing construction and streetscape projects taking place in downtown Wheeling, we wanted to bring your attention to how parking might be affected during the initial week of classes.

Current construction activities taking place on several roads surrounding the Wheeling Campus are aimed to be completed within the next few days. We've outlined several scenarios with accompanying maps below based on varying degrees of progress with the construction.

All Parking Lots Accessible (Map A)

Map A illustrates parking options assuming all lots are open and accessible. All these lots are FREE to students, with a parking permit.

If you still need a parking permit please stop into the Service Center, located in the Student Success Center on the first floor of the B&O Building. Tickets will not be issued during the first week of school if you park without a permit.

Road Closures (Map B)

Map B indicates closed roads and alternative parking lots:

• The Industrial Technology Center (ITC) lot (#4 on map) and student/staff lot across from the Education Center on 17th St. (#2 on map) will remain open.
• The visitor's lot in front of the B&O Building will be reserved exclusively for handicap parking and visitors.
• Free meter parking for students will be available along Chapline & 17th Streets adjacent to the B&O Building and Education Center.
• Students can park for free in the Intermodal Center Parking Garage (1401 Main St.). Please have your Northern ID ready for verification.
