Institutional Research and Effectiveness
Mission:
The mission of the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness is to provide accurate and timely information, expertise, and facilitation to support research, planning, assessment, accreditation and the decision-making processes of West Virginia Northern Community College. The office plays a pivotal role in collecting, coordinating and analyzing data about and for the college and serves as the chief information clearinghouse for disseminating information to the administrators, faculty, staff, and external constituents.
Vision:
The Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness promotes the institutional commitment to excellence and continuous improvement through assessment, accreditation efforts, accountability and strategic planning functions. IRE offers a broad array of decision support services to the entire college community and to external bodies as necessary.
Additionally, the office will utilize state of the art tools to collect, analyze and interpret information to support the decision-making of West Virginia Northern Community College. IRE will be a visible, strategic partner to the university administration and faculty in providing adequate and appropriate direction to support the goals and operations of the college.
